Design and Surveying
Effective design is a crucial element of any project.

Mexteds uses the latest technolgies to offer clients a full design and surveying service, from concept through to completion for sportsfield development, reconstruction and drainage work.



Contour plans, design and quantifying

During the concept phase of a project, we survey the areas involved to produce existing contour plans and plot the location of underground and above-ground services.

After initial surveying, designs can be produced showing existing and proposed finished levels.

3D images assist clients in visualising the end result, and accurate volumes can be calculated, giving greater certainty around cost.
3D Grading

Our specialised Total Station robotic survey tool allows for full automation for our 3D grading.  Heights are programmed directly into the tractor and levelling unit to achieve the perfect grade.

Mexteds were the first New Zealand contractor to use robotic controlled inverted levelling during the reconstruction of the cricket facilities at Hagley Park, creating an oval saucer design with gradual falls in all directions.

Our clients enjoy the benefits of this automation, with the desired shapes and levels achieved with significant time savings.
As-builts
Accurate as-built plans are an important part of the completion of any sports field reconstruction or drainage project.

Using survey technology we are able to produce simple plans to record details of the finished drainage design, including contours and services.
