Our Operations team

Paul Dockery - Team Leader

Paul is a talented all rounder, skilled in operating all our plant and machinery and guiding team members. Mexteds also benefits from his strong mechanical engineering skills - designing and building new plant, and maintaining equipment in our workshop.

Martin Podsednik

Martin specialises in driving our trucks and transporting machinery to our job sites, as well as operating other plant and equipment. His skills as a trained diesel mechanic are also a valuable asset for us. ​

Clayton Tume - Engineer

Clayton is our  engineer and mechanic.  A mentor to newer team members, he takes great pride in his work and loves a challenge, finding solutions to any problem that can be solved in our workshop, from minor modifications through to designing and building new plant.

Rob Willis - Irrigation Technician

Rob is a relatively recent addition to the Mexteds' talent and takes care of the design, installation and servicing of all irrigation works for our clients, having learnt his trade with a specialist irrigation company.

Marcus Duell 

As part of our operations team, you'll find Marcus operating our tractors and equipment, renovating sports surfaces throughout the Wellington region. 
With a green keeping background, Marcus has enjoyed extending his skills  into our wide range of work. 

Thomas Chalk

Thomas joined our crew as a labourer and is now training up in other areas of our sports turf operations.

Jules de Vries

Jules recently joined Mexteds' operations team, bringing with him a strong background in artificial sports turf surfaces. He's already proving a great addition, as he broadens his experience into other aspects of natural sports turf work.

Peter Mortensen

With a farming background, it's no surprise that Peter has plenty of experience with tractors.  At Mexteds, these skills are put to good use, especially with undersowing, sand spreading and decompaction work.
