There are times when turf needs replacing due to contamination, damage or extreme wear.

Mexteds uses specialised equipment to offer a fast and efficient turf replacement service, including laser technology to ensure perfect results every time.

Turf planing and removal

Using our purpose-built planer and loading elevator, we are able to efficiently remove turf in areas such as contaminated cricket wickets and other sports field areas, leaving a perfect surface for the re-laying of new turf in one pass.

Our turf removal and replacement services have been used in high profile venues such as the Westpac stadium in Wellington to remove turf damaged by temporary staging after concerts.

Turf installation

Mexteds provides a full re-turfing service, including sourcing and transporting turf, and relaying.
Our specialised turf laying equipment enables us to lay two one-metre wide rolls in one pass.

We have experience in reinforced turf growing systems, where grass is grown on a backing for stability and strength. Turf grown on this system can be played on the next day without the need for it to grow in.
