​Decompaction and Aeration

Mexteds offers a range of decompaction and aeration solutions to promote strong and healthy turf that resists stress, improves the uptake of fertiliser and requires less frequent watering.

Drainage Construction & Trenching

Mexteds offers a wide range of trenching methods to deliver primary and secondary drainage solutions, as well as economical services installation. Our capability extends to the growing area of artificial playing surfaces, where site preparation is vital to achieving good results.

SISGrass - Stitched hybrid turf

Mexteds is the sole distributor of SISGrass stitched turf in New Zealand, under a Distribution Agreement with SISGrass B.V.  SISGrass increases pitch stability and gives considerably more playing hours each year, while the pitch recovers faster after play.

​Ecodresser

The Ecodresser harvests and recycles compatible surface topsoil while leaving the turf intact.  It can be used to renovate playing surfaces that have become compacted or uneven. Mexteds’ unit has the additional feature that screens out any stones before re-laying the soil to create a level, well aerated surface.

Fertilising

Fertiliser spreading using our ‘Vibrax’ equipment offers an even, quick and efficient coverage catering to all field fertilising needs.

Code Changeovers

Mexteds designed, built and engineered the ‘Goal Post Lifter’, which is regularly used for changing over goal posts between rugby and soccer codes.

Used at multi-sport stadiums, local council grounds and schools, the goal post lifter is a quick and stress free solution, ensuring health and safety risks associated with moving heavy posts are eliminated.

Laser Services

Laser technology is also used in the levelling and reconstruction of playing fields, wicket blocks and softball diamonds as well as the installation of trenching for drainage systems.

Race Courses

Race and trotting courses will benefit from services provided by Mexteds to ensure turf is in the best possible condition to withstand the hard wear and tear of racing.

Drainage is key, and we have experience installing both subsoil and secondary drainage at racing venues.

Sowing and Grassing

Mexteds also provides turf renovation services through direct drilling or over-sowing. Using a turf drill which the company has modified for New Zealand conditions, we are able to undersow both sand and soil-based sports fields, golf courses, race courses and any sports, leisure and amenity grounds.

Sports Surface Maintenance

Mexteds carries out a range of services to maintain sports surfaces at their optimum performance levels.

Surveying – Total Station

Beginning with the design of a project, Mexteds use up-to-date technology in a Trimble Total Station survey kit which is used for developing drainage systems, drawing contour plans, calculating accurate measured units and is open to machine control.

Sweeping and Verticutting

Deterioration of sand constructed fields due to the excessive build up of the thatch layer may be overcome through verticutting and sweeping.

Synthetic Surfaces

Mexteds offers a range of synthetic finishes to suit. From cricket wickets to softball diamonds, Mexteds can cater for your artificial surface needs.

Turf Replacement

Mexteds have uniquely engineered plant capable of completing even the toughest of re-turfing jobs to international standard. After years of perfecting the art even the most labour intensive jobs are now a breeze.

Wicket Blocks

Mexteds wicket block construction is second to none.  With our unique gear, experience and customer care we will always get the job done to the highest standard. We carry out this work throughout New Zealand, assisting clients ranging from schools through to international cricket venues.
