It's looking good at Ngā Puna Wai in Christchurch, where we've built two new community fields for HEB Construction on behalf of Christchurch City Council. Starting from scratch, we levelled the subgrade, placed topsoil and compost, installed irrigation and drainage, before sowing with a sports turf ryegrass that's coming away well. We're now in the mowing and fertilising phase, and the community fields will be all set for play in 2019. This series of images give an idea how far we've come to get to this point and we're beginning to see the mowing chequerboard effect! We'll be back in Spring to start work building two adjacent rugby league fields. |
