 | A race to the finish ahead of deteriorating weather saw the Mexteds team of Marcus, Thomas, Chris, Luke and Brent working late at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, with groundstaff from Westpac Stadium, to re-lay the main wicket. We took 20mm off the top, grooved up the base, graded 10ml of new clay, sowed and drag matted, and tucked the new wicket up in a growth blanket, all before the rain set in, but not before darkness fell. |
