Mexteds has built a seven strip practice wicket for Palmerston North City Council at Fitzherbert Park, with the goal of meeting New Zealand Cricket warrant of fitness requirements for 1st class matches. We subgraded the area and installed novacoil drainage and irrigation. Then Aco drainage was laid around the perimeter, before we placed sand in the run-up area and Patumahoe clay over the wicket. With the warm weather the grass is already sprouting and Dave Evans, PNCC's Sportsfields, Parks and Reserves Supervisor, is a happy customer: "I couldn't say enough about Chris Parkinson and the team, they are brilliant" |

If I were to have an option I would also go for this. Well planned and designed. True definition of a first class, nothing more, nothing less.

I hope that users will continue to preserve the quality of the field.
